BREAKING NEWS - Fire at Sleaford pub

Wednesday 9.20am - THE cause of a fire believed to have started in an upstairs bedroom of a Sleaford pub is still being investigated by experts this morning (Wednesday).
The alarm was raised at about 9.45pm when emergency services were alerted to a fire at the Rose and Crown in Watergate and firecrews from Sleaford, Metheringham, Billingborough and Billinghay attended to put out the flames.

A bedroom has been severely damaged by the fire which spread to a corridor and stairway leading to the third floor. The first and third floors are badly smoke damaged while the fixtures and fittings of a lounge have also been damaged by fire.

Police are investigating the fire in which no one was injured and are appealing for anybody with information to come forward. Call the police on 01529 302420.
