EDITOR - It was interesting to read of the few items in last week's edition of the Standard highlighting some planning applications which have been turned down by local planners.

Let us hope that North Kesteven District Council applies this same train of action to the proposed new straw power plant.

It is quite obvious that the majority of people in the town do not want this monstrosity anywhere near residential development and, therefore, NKDC must reject it out of hand.
If for some reason they do not, then the planning committee must make public, in line with their convictions, their names so that they can be voted out of office at the next available opportunity.

They were elected to serve the people of this area and therefore must listen to their concerns.
