VILLAGERS IN Caythorpe celebrated their third annual fete on Sunday May 25.
The day started with a parade around the village with the king and queen of the fete leading the way, escorted by their maids and knaves.

All the traditional events were there, including a tombola, white elephant stall, hog roast and Punch and Judy show.

Art work from the children of Caythorpe Primary School was on display in St Vincent’s Church and the village hall was filled with a huge selection of stalls.

Paul McCafferty, a member of the organising committee, said “The main aim of the fete was to provide a fun day for the local community and visitors and to raise some money for local good causes.”
