A PRE-Wimbledon summer ball has netted a local tennis club just under £2000 towards new tennis courts.
Sleaford Tennis Club has been in need of new courts for some time and the ball has helped the club get a little closer to its goal of building them on a site at Birdie's Golf Driving Range, Silk Willoughby.

The ball was held at Woodland Waters, Ancaster and included a Pimm's reception, five course dinner, dancing and a prize draw.

The tennis club was grateful to the many local businesses who donated prizes for the draw and who supported the event.

In addition to the money raised for the club, £100 has been donated to the Breast Cancer Research Campaign.

l Standard photographer David Dawson was at the event to record the occasion.

You can see more photos from the summer ball on the Standard's website at www.sleafordstandard.co.uk.

If you would like to order any of the photographs, call in to the Standard office at 28 Handley Street, Sleaford or telephone 01529 413646.
