A FAMILY farming company is already tasting sweet success after branching out into producing jam.
Key's of Lincolnshire from Burton Pedwardine, Sleaford are excited after being put in the running for a prestigious Great Taste Award.

The business, which farms its ingredients at Speedway Corner, near Ruskington, has been nominated for two Gold G
reat Taste Awards for its strawberry and raspberry jams.

Fraser Key, owner and director of Key's of Lincolnshire, said: "We are very excited about gaining these awards especially as this is our first year of production.

Winning two great taste awards out of the three products we sent shows the dedication of my team in making these jams credible winners."

Key's of Lincolnshire are a family run farm specialising in growing a wide variety of fruit and vegetables to many different businesses.

With the public's growing interest of locally sourced food they decided to manufacture their own top quality range of jams and preserves based on their own farm grown ingredients.

These unique jams are made by Jenny Smith, using her own tried and tested recipes. They are handmade in small batches, with no additives or preservatives and sold mainly to farm shops, delicatessens, garden centres and butchers.

The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food and often referred to as the Oscars of the food industry.

The supreme champion results will be announced at an awards ceremony at Kensington's Royal Garden Hotel on September 8.
