A SLEAFORD school was full of Mexican smoothies on its last day of term.
St Botolph's School, Quarrington, had year two pupils rolling into class dressed as Mexicans, complete with sombreros, ponchos and big bandit-style moustaches.

The children had been learning about Mexico in geography lessons and were invited to round off their last day by turning up in costume.

On the same day, Key Stage One and Foundation Stage pupils were encouraged to create their own smoothie drinks from a wide selection of fresh fruit.

This was part of the school's drive to gain healthy school status by getting children to think about incorporating enough fruit and vegetables in their diet.

They had successfully tried it out with the Key Stage Two children earlier in the year and so let the younger ones have a turn.
