Christine rewarded for long service at school

A HEADTEACHER has been rewarded for her long service at the same school.
Christine Breckon has worked at Chestnut Street Primary School in Ruskington for 20 years, initially as a class teacher, then as deputy head for many years and as headteacher for the last two years.
In recognition of her dedicated service to the school, she was presented with a gold bracelet by the chairman of Lincolnshire County Council Coun Ian Cartwright on behalf of the county council.
Chairman of governors Tony Cook said: "Chestnut Street School is very fortunate to have a headteacher like Christine.
Her contribution to the school over the last 20 years has been tremendous.
"Christine's child centred, caring approach is what Chestnut Street is all about.
“She has helped create the family atmosphere that exists at the school, which is what makes parents want their children to come here. And now, under her leadership, the school has achieved its best ever KS2 SATs results with over 90 per cent of children achieving Level 4 in all subjects.
"The governors, staff and children thank Christine for everything she has done for the school."
